Re: [AlpacaTalk] Re: grouply

So far I have had no contact from Joanne. She's never posted on the
group or contributed in any way. Looks to me she's a troll. I'll give
her a few more days to reply, but as of now, I consider her a
spammer/troll. If I get no communication from her within a week (given
the weather in the south lately) I'll remove her as such. Maybe give
her a bit more time since her profile says she's in Alabama?

Re: [AlpacaTalk] grouply

Thanks for the info, Wayne.

To the group, Honestly, this is the first time I've ever heard of
Grouply. But I am definitely against spyware, and would hope that if
someone wants to forward posts from this group, that they would ask the
author specifically, and should ask for each particular post they wish
to quote. Plagarism is a crime.

I would hope that Joanne isn't engaging in that kind of activity. And I
have noticed that she has yet to post on this group since joining in
the beginning of the year. What's up, Joanne? Do you have interest in
alpacas, alpaca breeding, or at least alpaca fleece? Please join in
conversation here.

On another note, I maintain that I have yet to ban or remove members.
Anyone is free to un-subscribe themself if they dislike the
conversation, as some people did during the heated conversations last
year. But, I do remove spammers and others whose actions are not in the
spirit of the discussion group. So, if I see evidence that someone is
in this membership is doing anything detrimental to others in this
group, or to yahoo or yahoo account holders, I will not hesitate to
remove that person.

Here's a link I found regarding Grouply and Yahoo on Snopes.com:
http://message.snopes.com/showthread.php?p=508572

Here's another discussion about Grouply on Yahoo! Answers:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080209214049AAtha6M

Comments are welcome.

Best regards,
Heather

Re: [AlpacaTalk] grouply

Hi Heather and All:
I am a moderator of two other groups here at Yahoo. On one of those
groups a member joined through Grouply. The next thing we knew some of
our messages appeared in some ones blog. We could not prove that the two
were connected so could not say much in public for fear of being sued.
After refusing membership to our group to any grouply members the
plagiarizing stopped.

I can not, for legal reasons, make an accusation against any person or
group but can ask you to draw your own conclusions.

BTW Heather if you need a co-moderator I have time, experience and am
very good at following the lead of some one else.

[AlpacaTalk] Re: Beheaded Cria

Hello Chuck....WOW! Sorry about that mispost! You are absolutely
correct that it should read paid to those who bring the purpetrators
to justice (arrest and conviction)- I have no typing skills and
sometimes my brain never gets the information to the fingers....
Thank you for catching this.

Please send what you can to this fund. Those pennies add up and will
have a positive result. Thank you Jess and Cookie for handling this.
