There are plenty of avenues to advertise, so I would really like to NOT
see posts for animals for sale, sires for hire, products for sale, farm
days, etc.

I do not mind seeing announcements for seminars and shows. Everyone who
attends an educational seminar can benefit from that. Anyone who
attends a show can benefit from it.

We all have animals for sale and for hire, many of us have products for
sale.
