I thought everyone should know about the llama song. Click on the link below and smile.

Wish someone would do an alpaca song.

Free Alpacas Newsletter- How to Profit from Alpaca Farming

[AlpacaTalk] Sorry for the crosspost. New to the group and looking for answers please!

Hello everyone! This is my first post to the group. Glad to be here
and get some information as we plan on starting our alpaca herd later
this summer. I have a couple of questions, if you all don't mind.

1. We have our pasture areas fenced in 4-board, vinyl fencing. The
type that you see at horse farms. From what I have read, this would be
fine to keep the alpacas in, but not obviously good to keep predators
out. Therefore, does anyone have any ideas on what to line the inside
of the fence with to better protect our new family?

2. Our pastures are just coming back from being ag land that was in
beans in 2005. We are trying to let the pastures come back naturally,
but what appears to be coming in is a partially woody type grass/weed.
Is it best to start feeding our alpacas hay and supplements until the
pastures better come in?

3. We plan on getting a LGD, as we have a healthy population of
coyotes in Indiana (Darlington area). Here is the loaded question....
What is the best LGD breed to have with kids around?

Thanks in advance for your help!
