My husband is facebook friends with the vet tech who aided these poor folks in VA. In fact, her profile photo is of her and two of the mauled crias ( before the attack ). People, it can happen to anyone, make sure your fences are designed to keep predators OUT, and your alpacas in. We use a six strand electric fence which our animals do not go near. We also have an LDG as back up... Nothing gets out, or in.
