Here is the Wilkpedia info on the Inca Empire.? It has a map.? They were pretty spread out - that was one of their down falls.? I've seen a couple really interesting TV shows on them over the last 6 months or so, on the History or Discovery Channels, I believe.

Mayans were in Mexico. Incas were in Peru. So, no they
were not ii Mexico. Alhough modern days borders are
different than the Incan days, there are alpacas in
Bolivia, Chile, Peru, and even a few in Argentina I
think.
There is a lot of documentation out there about
alpacas. Literally Googling "alpacas" will refer you
to many alpaca farms that will have substantial
history on alpacas.
