Re: [AlpacaTalk] Alpaca Customer Service

I agree wholeheartedly. Service really means a lot.

I recently had a bit of minor repair and maintenance done on my 1995 Jeep , to the tune of over $1500, and I got a coupon for a free carwash at their Eugene location, at the drive through carwash machine.

When I bought my daughter a 1975 Mercedes, which required quite a bit of semi major work to be roadworthy, that bill was half what I paid at the Jeep dealer, and the Benz dealership detailed the car every time we brought it in!

In the current economy, you can try to compete for alpaca sales by joining the price race-to-the-bottom, or you can find ways to add value to the sale by offering superior service to your customers (including potential customers) and develop long-term relationships. I remember how my Uncle told me that during hard economic times while he was a car salesman, he would retain loyal customers who would buy a new car every year, specifically from him, because he made a point of offering excellent after-sale service including picking up the customers car every week and having it washed and vacuumed.

I would like to invite ya'll to read my latest blog post on Alpaca Customer Service and take the short, anonymous survey at the end.
