If he is dysmature, time will improve his pasterns. Sometimes crias are just a bit loose in the joints and ligaments, and after a few days or a week, most of them tighten/straighten out nicely.
Thanks for the info, Emily. I bought the female last winter and was not aware that she was pregnant. It was a shock when I went to check on my overdue alpaca girls this morning and my llama was delivering! He only weighed 17 lbs., so I think he was premature.
