[AlpacaTalk] Fiber Processing
Hello to everyone,
I offer fiber processing services, including washing, carding, blending,
color dyes, and handspinning. I specialize in long fiber as this is what I
learned on and what I am used to from our own animals, although do also work with
and am experienced with shorter fiber. I use a hand drum carder to make
light airy batts.
My washing/carding charge is based on OUTGOING weight, so you are not
charged for "grease" or dirt!
$1 an ounce for washing and carding your fiber, plus offer a discount for 10
pounds or more!
Other services include:
Handspinning-
Color dye
Blending (heathering)
Dehairing
Rewashing/carding for fiber that needs more attention.
I have some openings for washing, carding, color dyes. I also have some
openings coming up for handspinning. If you have some fiber lying around that
you are ready to have processed, just let me know! Or, if you would like to
schedule a time for me to process your fiber after shearing this spring,
please email or call for details!
I do consider trades for fiber and am always on the lookout for fiber
processing equipment!
