[AlpacaTalk] Putting a Heart Felt Spin on Fiber
Announcing and inviting you to attend the:
Northwest Fiber Odyssey
October 21 and 22, 2006 in
Greyhound Park Events Center
5100 Riverbend Avenue
Post Falls, Idaho
The Odyssey includes two fun-filled and educational days for fiber
enthusiasts from around the Northwest.
Although sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Alpaca Association, Fiber
Odyssey is a journey into fiber for breeders, spinners, knitter and
users of all types of fiber. Whether you're just getting started or
experienced, you are welcome. This IS an adventure for anyone who works
with fiber in any form. Please join us for fun, fiber and friends.
The focus of this two day event is to bring together alpaca breeders,
fiber artists, fiber divas, fiberholics and anyone who has an interest
in learning more about fiber and especially alpaca fiber. Learn how
alpaca can blend with your favorite fiber to make it softer, stronger or
more silky and lustrous. Angora, wool, cashmere, silk and other fibers
love being mixed with alpaca.
Seminars will be available to improve your business outlook. Work
smarter not harder. Fiber workshops will be available for beginner to
advanced levels. Choose the seminar and workshop that provides you with
the information you want. Seminars only cost $30 each per person.
Workshops fees vary.
The Odyssey includes an international alpaca fleece show, a spin off
competition, seminars and workshops. There will be alpacas available for
sale--breed quality, fiber quality and pet quality. We at PNAA have to
admit our special love for alpacas, but when it comes to fiber, everyone
is welcome to come - you will be surprised how well we all blend in
together.
Please, bring your wheel and your favorite fiber and spend some time
visiting with other spinners from all over. There will be chairs
available for the spin in. Come and sit and spin and reunite with old
friends, make new friends and share stories or should I say, spin yarns,
practice different techniques and have fun!.. All this for FREE - just
mention this ad.
