Re: [AlpacaTalk] Cria legs

Thanks,  that is what I was thinking but wanted to double check with more experienced.  I have not seen this before and just didn't want to miss something I should be doing something about right now.   I usually like less is more but being so new if I come upon something unfamiliar I always like to double check my thinking.

I've seen this before, probably had a few on our farm born that way, over the years, and maybe even one this year. I think the "wait and see" approach is definitely in order. I can't recall any of them not straightening up. And if we did have one like that this year, they're straight now!

If they're not straight within a month, we call our chiropractor to work on them. Very few structural problems are actual defects, we've found.

We had a cria born yesterday and she has front legs at the knee joint that don't fully extend. She is walking and running a little but her legs are bent more than I think they should be.
Is this something I should just watch or may we have a problem that I should be doing something about?
My instinct is to just let her be for a week or two but just in case I am missing something I would like all of your thoughts.
