Maria - this is what works for us -

clean the fecal matter from all the pastures daily into a compost. 

treat the compost weekly with fly parasites - read this - http://www.insectary.com/portfolio-items/fly-parasites/

Help, in my barnyard the animals do fine. (goats,sheep and chickens)but there are flies all over my alpacas. I hate it! Why is it that they are on them and how do I get rid of them?
