Re: [AlpacaTalk] ITS A GIRL!!

thanks to eveyone for your good wishes - i am still doing the happy dance - i was out taking pictures of Mirabella and will post one to this site once i figure out the new cameral.

We spent all day doing toenails and shots today - we have it down to a routine now, - i was so panicked last Fall when i realized we were on our own to do the feet and didn't have a clue how to do it by ourselves - so i guess we're making progress.

RE: [AlpacaTalk] ITS A GIRL!!

How wonderful! I have a girl like that. She's an import 10+ years old, unable to get her pregnant for 3 years now. She was bred last year, keeps spitting off the males but has ultrasounded negative times 2. I've had 3 years of nothing but boys. If she delivers and it's a girl I will name it Miracle!! It would be nice if the information was available to everyone, I think.

Subject: [AlpacaTalk] question for members

Hello everyone! It's me in my moderator hat.

When I started this group in January 2004, I chose to allow members to
hide their email addresses. I didn't realize (or didn't care at the
time) that this would disallow the use of polls on the group. But an
issue has come up that sort of begs for a poll to be taken. So I'll
just ask everyone to give me their opinion.

Regarding privacy... some people have a wish for privacy in their
identity. I ask for limited personal information to join the group,
because I feel we're peers. I don't think I'll change that aspect, but
one of the current settings of the group is that anyone, not only
members, but anyone, can read the group posts and archives. Should this
be restricted to only members? It would preserve some privacy in that
only members could read the group postings. And you are free answer
privately or on publicly, whichever you prefer.

Thanks!
Heather
