[AlpacaTalk] Friday Market: Want a FREE subscription to “Down to the Roots” homesteading maga

Want a FREE subscription to "Down to the Roots" homesteading magazine?

Due to many people saying that they would LOVE to get the magazine, but could not afford it due to being on a pension or out of work, we worked out a deal with them that if they got 5 other people to subscribe, then they would get a yearly subscription for free.

This has worked out so well, that I am opening it up to the general public. Get 5 of your friends or family to subscribe and you get yours for free.

RE: [AlpacaTalk] Re: Miss Magnolia

She is on the thin side, but not horribly thin.  I am hoping to see her gain some weight before her Sept. cria is due.  She is in with two other pregnant females and a nursing dam……….all of them are getting some alfalfa daily. Do you think I should cut her off the alfalfa and lessen her grain until she is flat?

Hi Laura,

As soon as I wean I cut mom's feed in half. I don't increase again until she is flat. I also sometimes massage with Bag Balm if they are rough.

Congrats on the weight gain.

Cheers,
