Re: [AlpacaTalk] Writer Question again

Hi Marie,

Some alpacas love to sunbathe and lie flat out, often drifting off to
sleep. You can walk right up to them and I think a lot of new owners
might think they have died. It's like the baby in the cradle thing,
'are they still breathing', and keep going to check.

Good luck with the book.

Free Alpacas Newsletter- How to Profit from Alpaca Farming

[AlpacaTalk] Big sale on any two of the following bred females

BIG DISCOUNTS on any two of the following ARI/CLAA bred female
alpacas.

I will sell the first two females at 50% off so I can pay for my next
year's alpaca bills. More information at the end of this email.

Hurricane Argon (bred to Raven's Skywalker, son of Acero Marka's Sky
Pilot, for a Spring 2008 cria) listed price $12,000 [50% off is
$6,000], white, ARI and CLAA registered - More information and
pictures at http://www.myalpacas.com/argon.htm

HPR Precious (proven - bred) I just dropped her price to $10,000 due
to her age [50% off is $5,000], brown and white, She is an elderly
female at 14 years of age, but she religiously provides a very nice
cria unassisted every year. She would be excellent for novice
breeders who would like an experienced dam to show them the ropes.
More information and pictures are at
http://www.myalpacas.com/precious.htm

Willchris Jamie (proven – bred) $10,000 [50% off is $5,000], brown
with some white. She is one of the most consistent moms that I
have. She has produced a nice solid colored cria every year that
I've had her and she never needs any help—most of them have been
girls too! She did have an abscess on her jaw and she is currently
under vet care for that, but nothing long term is expected. She
would also be good for a first time farmer that is hoping to get
females that don't present them with issues right off the bat as all
her deliveries have been trouble free. More information and pictures
are at http://www.myalpacas.com/jamie.htm

HPR Scarlet (proven – bred to Raven's Skywalker, son of Acero Marka's
Sky Pilot, for a late Spring cria) $9,000 [50% off is $4,500],
brown. Scarlet throws some very nice cria, but she did not hold her
breeding this last Fall so she has just been rebred. She is a steal
at her listed price, so its just plain highway robbery at $4,500.
She is a wonderful mom and is very protective of her cria. More
information and pictures are at http://www.myalpacas.com/scarlet.htm

Hurricane Minuette (bred to Hurricane Dusty, son of Accoyo Juliaca
6035, for a late Spring 2008 cria), brown. $9,000 [50% off is
$4,500]. This is her first breeding so I have my fingers crossed for
a really great cria. She is priced slightly lower as this is her
first breeding and I just don't have any idea what she will throw yet
or if she will have any birthing issues. More information and
pictures are at http://www.myalpacas.com/minuette.htm

I only want to sell two, so the discount is ONLY for the FIRST TWO
BRED FEMALES SOLD, but they don't have to be sold to the same
person.

Transport and Boarding -- They are currently in Canada, but if
someone wants to buy one or both, I will bring them down to the US
when I move some other alpacas, at my expense, and will help
coordinate transport to many places on the East coast that are on
their transport path from Ottawa to South Carolina. If my driver
doesn't have to go out of his way, then there will be no transport
charge. If the alpacas are purchased before the cria are born, then
of course they are included in the price and you can also get a
breeding to one of my boys if there is time before I bring them
down. However, once the cria are born, they will not be included in
the above listed price, but the alpaca will be re-bred and you will
have the choice of several studs. I will pay for all board up until
the Fall transport which will be after the cria are born in September
or so. If you wish to go get them before that, you may do so at your
own expense. If you wish to continue to board them in Canada, I will
put you in contact with the farm owner who is an absolutely
outstanding person to work with.

All of the above alpacas are very nice and none of them are known to
have, or to have produced, cria with disqualifying faults. All are
healthy and have no issues unless noted. Please contact me if you
have additional questions.

Re: [AlpacaTalk] Writer Question again

Hi Marie,

After alpacas get into a spitting fight, they will often walk around with their lips hanging (they look like a grizzly bear lips to me).? I have seen several folks write to the various discussion groups in a panic, and when I first saw it, I thought he had had a stroke or something.? Still wigs me out for a fraction of a second :)
