Superior Fibers is run by Inge and Bill Moe in Edmonds. Their email is
info@superiro-fibers.com and website is www.superior-fibers.com . I
personally have never used their services, but I've seen the results and
it's very nice. I'm not sure if they only do laminate felting or if they
also do regular felt sheets, nor do I know to what degree they felt -
pre-felt or fulled. They do encourage tours by appointment. My plan was to
take up a bunch of my fleeces and process them instead of sending a sample
and then sending it back and forth. Unfortunately my weekend schedule
hasn't opened enough to allow me to do that.

I've met them a few times and they're very nice so don't' hesitate to
contact them.

As for doing large sheets by hand - you're right, that is a pain! But if
you have a good book and a fairly flat place you can certainly kick your
project while you read - I did that with a 6'x4' piece I made a few years
ago. It shrank about a foot in both directions by the time I was done. But
it took a long time. Today what I would do is hand work it until I could
fold it in thirds and then put it on my Princess.
