[AlpacaTalk] Re: Any non-US breeders on this site?

Hi Chuck. We are Debbie and Paul LeBlanc from Cochrane, Alberta,
Canada. We have been raising huacaya alpacas for 10 years (as of
2008). We found it to be a big learning curve when we first got our
alpacas, and we are still learning something new on a regular basis.
The yahoo sites are excellent places to find out all sorts of
information and to post questions – and then to take that information
back and apply it to our own situation.

My son and I are off to Mexico in the morning, and I would happily
visit an alpaca ranch in the area, but I don't think there are any
close by. We are going to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point). We fly
through Denver tomorrow to Phoenix and then drive approximately 4
hours to Penasco. If any one knows of a farm in the Penasco area –
please let me know! I'm hoping to check my e-mail periodically.

Happy New Year everyone!

Well, if nothing else, I am a champion of free speech, and I always
stand up for the principle, even at my own expense.

We're here to answer all your alpaca related questions, to talk about
absolutely anything regarding the alpaca business.

Right now there are questions many of have about AOBA, and I dunno,
maybe if the goings on in Nashville were more open and transparent, no
one would be upset or confused or asking questions.... About ABOA
anyway!

Hang on tight, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

for, you guessed it, ten million dollars!!! The lawsuits by the Romaniks
against us and past and present Board members and against AOBA wasn't about

years of Ana being unhappy with Board after Board after Board after Board
and harrassing and threatening and lying about good people. It's because
AOBA wouldn't buy the sites from her. After all, Ana does know best and
AOBA should have known better than to argue with her and not do exactly
what they were told. However, I kept Alpacasite and the politics site
wihout paying for them (which is why Ana hates us so much) and sold them to

John Pinkowski. I then convinced (you'll like this one...) Eric to
threaten John so that John would sell it back to me at 50% of what I sold
it to him for. Since certificates of ownership for groups can only
transfer during full moons and when all parties involved in the transaction

are facing north while standing on their left foot, I had lots of extra
time to do all this. At least 24 hours! So....after I bought both sites
back from John Pinkowski, I sold them to Heather, who then changed her name

to Rick Horn. Yep, you guessed it!! Heather is really Rick Horn. She
really masquerades as Rick and as a side business, PAYS Ana to run around
lying about people to keep everyone upset. But that's not all. This gives
Heather the chance to complain bitterly about alpacasite and its oppression

while all the time it's Heather doing the oppressing! AND, it gives
Heather the chance to say no one is answering questions when she knows full

well that Amy is answering them. But folks, that's just a cover!! There
IS no Rick Horn. It's actually Heather fulfilling her childhood fantasy to
own alpacasite and suppress the masses and control the world! In fact,
Heather has now owned alpacasite since alpacas came into this country in
1951. Yes, the bitter thruth is that Heather and Ana were importers and
refused to sell alpacas to others until the late 1980's. They had gone
into business selling alpaca dung and well, the rest is history. So, I
give up. You figured it out! Ana and Heather and I can't hide any longer.
I just can't live with this pressure. I confess! After all, Heather is
willing to believe anything about me so it's time I just gave it up and
confessed. Bet she didn't figure I'd take her down as well! Ha!

Yes, I also own the Moon. Yep, it's me! I've owned it since April of 2004
and only told my good buddies the Romaniks. I'm sure they will tell you
all this and phrase in such a way that it sounds like a horrible thing and
will make everyone angry with me. After all, Ana wouldn't lie so she must
know exactly how it came about and is 100% correct!! So, I also
confess....I'confess....I'<WBR>m the one with condos on the moon. I have
northern section of the madaharion region, right near the coveted
quarlutian. Anyone care to buy a chunk?

Heather,

Here's my understanding of Alpacasite ownership. Tim and Cindy Lavan
started Alpacasite back in the mid 90's. They sold the site to Libby and
Jerry Forstner. Libby and Jerry then got John Pinkowski to act as moderator

of Alapcasite while they still owned it. When John quite because of threats

of lawsuits between Eric Hoffman and Ken Madl over what was being posted;
Libby and Jerry got Rick Horn to agree to be Moderator. According to Libby
and Jerry as of April 2004 they were still the owners of both Alpacasite
and
Alpacapolitics. I don't know if they still own it today but they did in
2004. I was told the above by Libby and Jerry themselves.

I and others have tried to find out exactly who does own the sites these
days to no avail. Yahoo groups won't say a word. Their lips are sealed…

I think your perspectives as a moderator are exactly what's needed in the
industry… Keep up the great work!

All the best,

I have said and will always say that we have the right and
responsibility to ask questions, and to question what we disagree with.
We have the right to voice dissatisfaction, we have a right to say so
when something pisses us off, we have a right to say so when something
looks rotten. I say we have the responsibility to speak out!

I think the more this issue is talked out, the more we'll understand
it. I don't care to have to join Rick Horn's groups. I don't think Rick
Horn needs to control everyone.

I started this group when John Pinkowski shut down AlpacaSite, then
Rick weaseled his way into ownership of that group, after having been
an alpaca owner for maybe a year. Now Rick sees fit to tell people what
to say and what to think on AlpacaSite. I will not be such a moderator.
I think we have the right to say what we think and feel. If it upsets
some people, well, that's the price we pay for freedom of speech.

Everyone doesn't have to agree with my thoughts or feelings, I don't
have to keep silent when I think something isn't right.

Yes, this group is for helping our fellow breeders with alpaca
husbandry issues, but it is also for the discussion of everything else
that concerns our alpaca industry. And I won't change that.

Best regards,
Heather

Yes, but that is just a cover. You put yourself on perma-moderate so no
one would suspect you are you! You don't know it but every Tuesday on the
25th hour, yahoo releases the names of the real moderators. The e-mail
bounces off Jupiter's rings and we see it on the Moon. Yep, Ana will swear

wihout paying for them (which is why Ana hates us so much) and sold them to
John Pinkowski.

When John quite because of threats
of lawsuits between Eric Hoffman and Ken Madl over what was being posted;

Best regards,
Heather
