[AlpacaTalk] Re: get money for your alpaca fiber! -update
CIABA has found a buyer for every color and grade of alpaca fiber! See their website for pricing details. The Sort-a-thon is only $10 per fleece to enter! www.CIABA.org

The unskirted event is for people who would like a written analysis of their fiber performed by the Course Broads. They will skirt, sort, grade and provide a report on their fiber and what the best uses for the different grades are. It is something breeders would be interested in getting for their breeding programs. The cost is $25 per fleece.
> The sort-a-thon is being performed by apprentices under the Course Broads for their sorting certification. The fleeces will be graded and sorted, bagged and ready for market. The cost for this event is $10 per fleece. Fleeces can only be entered in one event as with either one, they will be taken apart and bagged by grade. The owners determine if they want their fleeces returned to them or to be sold at the North American for either event.
> CIABA is continuing to find additional buyers of fleece. I do know that the finer fleeces will be sold to hand spinners at higher prices those fleeces will be determined by the Course Broads. ALL SALES MONEY GOES DIRECTLY TO THE OWNER. CIABA is not keeping a percentage of sales money nor is anyone else. CIABA is working hard to get alpaca fiber into the market and money into the hands of the owners, as it should be. CIABA is not working against or is in competition with any alpaca organization. All alpacas have value, even the 2 humped, crossed eyed, buck toothed, 3 legged ones! While some alpacas have better fleece than others, all the fiber is still usable. There are buyers who want this fiber. And by volunteering together for the benefit of all, it will help breeding farms, fiber farms and pet farms see some money for their passion. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this organization. Everyone is a volunteer with personal agendas and attitudes checked at the door. I encourage everyone to look at the website, look at what is being done to educate the youth on a NATIONAL level in the classrooms. I think you will be surprised how far CIABA has come and maybe you will be excited to be a part of it as well! In the mean time, get those fleeces in and get some money for your work! They earn you nothing sitting around. You can email me if you have any questions about the events or CIABA!

And they dont have to be the "best" fleeces either! No memberships required. Alpacas do not have to be registered either! It really is ALL ABOUT THE FIBER, not blue ribbons! Time is running out to get your fleeces in- See details on the link below or ask me any questions! No, this is not spam or an offer to sell alpacas -it is to get your fleece out of storage, into hands of the buyers and money to your pocket! No skirting fleeces, no need to be present to sell -we do it for you and dont take any of your profit! Please, pass this along to everyone you know that has alpacas or anyone that has alpaca fiber sitting around. People want to buy your fiber!
