[AlpacaTalk] Re: West Nile Virus Vaccine dose

Well we have been vaccinating for the past 4 years and after this dose
we are discontinuing. From what I have read, from "informed" sources
the threat is waning. I feel that my animals will have plenty of
antibodies by now. I was surprised that a lot of my previous alpaca
neighbors had stopped after the scare the first year we did it! I feel
now that they are pretty "safe".

How about offering an offspring every other year. One way would be to
let her select the pregnant female from your offering and then she gets
what she gets, boy or girl. I had thought about that too with my
helper but then we moved.
