Re: [AlpacaTalk] VAOBA show in October

Good luck with the show and just have fun!  We did very well at our first show and were very surprised - you just never know.  And if he doesn't place well, don't let that discourage you for future shows - every judge is different.

Re: [AlpacaTalk] Boarding and Transport Needed!

Hi Heather,
Want to clarify: did you just request that if I want to reply to someone asking for assistance on this chat group, I should not do so through the group - as I just did - that I should only reply to privately?
Thanks,

Best of luck. I do hope you find a farm who can help nearby.

And please, everyone, do not ever be afraid to ask for resources or help on this group no matter what day of the week it is. Good lord. I can't believe my eyes.

Yes,. keep advertisements that go public, to the group, to Fridays only. But requests for help or services can go public, and please feel free to reply to those requests privately, any day of the week!

No problem, even if it is not a Friday! We are here to help our fellow breeders. I do hope that someone can give you a lead, or perhaps has space to agist in your locale. I believe we all need to really help each other right now.

And frankly, I'm surprised about the remark regarding the "marketing" rules... Really?

THIS group has always been about supporting our fellow members, since the day it was founded.

Marketing is allowed on AlpacaTalk on Fridays, which it is today. :)

But regarding marketing, a vote was taken of the members and a vast majority did not want to have advertising on the group all day everyday. Besides, there are already good marketing groups and websites designed just for that. But, it was also agreed that one day a week would be acceptable.
