[AlpacaTalk] Summer Sale!

I always forget about Market Friday on AlpacaTalk. But I have some opportunities I don't want to pass up, and I can't act unless I make room in our pastures and shelters! It's a tough position to be in. I wish we never had to sell any of our alpacas, and that land was just not an issue!

But please take a look at these huacayas on my sales list. If anyone catches your eye, I'll be more than happy to send fleece samples. And make an offer on anyone! We'll seriously consider any offer presented.

Females:

Millie: She is half sister to Twyla Belle and my lovely Kallista (now sold). Their grandsire is Silas of Bolivia. Millie has fine fleece, 17.7µ at 1 year, nice crimp, and a gentle demeanor. She is bred to Scirocco, my 3X blue ribbon winning Avatar son who had 16.6µ at one year and 20.7µ at 5 years... I am looking forward to that cria! Due September 10, 2010!
$5000

Opal: Proven, full Peruvian dam. Her grandsire is JA Aladdin, with Yupanqui and Guellermo also in the pedigree. She is the dam of Leonardo and Millie. Her latest cria, now weaned, has gorgeous fleece! Bright, crimpy, silky, long staple. Opal loves to give kisses! And she's crazy for apples! Currently open.
$5000

Sally: True black maiden. She'll be 2 Aug 28. Very dense fleece, very bright and nice handle. She is a very well built girl. Square and correct, and heavy bone. Beautiful topknot and perfect teeth. Her microns were a bit high last year, we'll test again this year! I think she'll be an awesome production dam. Her fleece is very much like my Lauren's, and I am not considering selling her at this time. Scirocco would be a fantastic match for Sally! And, I think her fleece has really come down A LOT in micron this year. Why was it high last year? I can't say. Rich mother's milk, poor hay, both?

$3500 Her owner is very motivated to sell, please make an offer.

Izumi: Medium to dark brown, half Bolivian, half Peruvian. She turned one year old June 19th. Not only is she very friendly and personable, she has gorgeous fleece. 6 crimps per inch, very fine and lustrous. Her sire is a champion at halter, CL9 Archon, son of CL9 Altair. Her dam is my wonderful true black Bolivian import dam, Hoyln, who has produced only excellent crias. I think I should show at AlpacaMania at halter this year.
Reduced to
$5,000 or trade for grey full Bolivian female of similar quality.

Amadala: Dark fawn, full Peruvian. 3 years old. Proven dam, very good mom. Sire is dark maroon Benchmark's Peruvian El Capitan, blue ribbon winner at MIAF. Her first cria, Maharaja has really great fleece with amazing staple length, and a 5 pound blanket at one year! Female cria at side, whose fleece is looking quite nice. Free breedback included with her purchase. 3-in-1 package!
Reduced to
$5,000 or trade for black or grey (or any color) FULL Bolivian

Males:

Leonardo: med. fawn male, 7/8 Peruvian 2X Blue ribbon winner!
Sire: Snowmass Sumar Escobar, son of the famous Escobar and grandson of Hemingway.
2 time blue ribbon winner for fleece. Pedigree includes Yupanqui, Guellermo, and Aladdin on dam's side. 17.4µ at one year, 19.8µ at 4 years! We have his sire and two blue ribbon winning brothers on the farm. This fleece trait is dominant! We think he'll be every bit the pre-potent herdsire that his father is. Lenny can be included at no extra cost with the purchase of two females listed above.
$1000 cash or best offer.

Maharaja: light brown, full Peruvian. 5 pound blanket at one year! Super silky fleece, excellent staple length, really great crimp. 82 lbs at 6 months. He's a year old and just about as big as the almost 2 yr olds. His sire's fleece tested at 21µ at 5 years. Very good bloodlines, CL9 Altair and Benchmark's P El Capitan grandsires. Really nice boy.
Reduced to
$2500  And if you're interested, really do act fast. His first shearing at exactly one year old produced a 5 pound blanket!

Sienna Illusion, Pluro grandson tested at 20.8µ at 4 years, with amazing zipper crimp. He has four cria on the ground so far, two maroon boys and two true black girl. He has one blue ribbon for fleece at Estes Park, and one red ribbon, high scoring fleece in his class. We missed 1st place by 1/2 a point, and the judge's comment was better skirting would have raised the score.
He's available for breeding services and is tentatively for sale, but I do think I have his price way too low.
$2500

Julian: Dark silver grey Rockford son. Quite fine fleece, though we haven't had a micron test done yet. He is the spitting image of Rockford. His fleece is very fine and dense. Really a striking junior herdsire. We plan to try him out this year. His maternal grandsire is CP Silvino, of course his paternal grandsire is Accoyo Felix.
$2500

Bruegel: Medium silver grey Rockford son with very uniform color. Very nice crimp. Amazing fleece weight for a juvenile. 3 lbs blanket, 1.4 lb neck, 1.6 lb leg, total 6 lbs, annualized to 4.3 lb blanket, 2 lb neck, 2.3 lb leg, for a total annualized weight of 8.7 lbs! And check his pedigree. Sinopsis Nocturna, Caballero Andante, Danko, and of course Aussie Rockford, son of Accoyo Felix. He was born in late September, so may not be ready to breed this season.
$2500
