[AlpacaTalk] Re: Todays AOBA Update - Alpacas Magazine Update

I agree with Gary, one of the biggest values of AM is AS advertising/marketing. While I think it is important to be in BN and TSC, maybe comp issues to STRATEGIC places would ultimately be better marketing. EG, I get my taxes done at my local Farm Credit. There were 3 different horse magazines, a cow mag and a tractor mag. I would have brought in my AM, but I save them.

My biggest complaint with AM is that there isn't enough substance anymore--it's almost all ads now. I know they are necessary, but it'd be nice to see content too. When I was first looking I especially liked the stuff some farms printed about their daily life on the farm (even if those were often full page profile ads).

I also failed to mention that I would be more than willing to pay for the print version. If I value something like printed magazines, books, steaks, John Deere tractors, etc and choose to have them for ME (not you), then I"m willing to pay for them. For the record, I don't eat steak, I can't afford a JD and wait until books come out in paper back. All I attempted to do was to give another side to the issue.
