Re: [AlpacaTalk] RE: Invitation to Join LinkedIn

Actually, someone I DO business with networked me from LinkedIn yesterday and I did join it (it's sort of like a non-chatty Facebook for professionals).  When I joined, it asked whether I wanted to add other LinkedIn members who were in my Yahoo address book, and I did permit it to send invites to some of my acquaintances - both professional and alpaca folks - so your invitation was probably intentional.  I've resisted joining LinkedIn because I was already pretty busy with FB, but once I checked it out, it seemed to make sense.  It's more professional than FB, which is more social; LinkedIn is for work acquaintances and friends.

<<<I had no idea it was hijacked if it was. I apologize. I'll change

Sorry I wasn't clear. I didn't mean from you personally; I meant I get
these invites to join LinkedIn in my inbox from folks I don't know and I
don't even know what LinkedIn is.
So when I saw this on the list, esp as it was addressed to someone I do
not recognize from this list, I didn't know if it was a scam and your
email had been hijacked. It has become so common to see scams from
folks we know on all the lists. Hopefully everyone knows not to click
on links sent, even from folks we know, unless we are expecting it or
there is a recognizable reason given for sending the link.
Sorry for the confusion.
