RE: [AlpacaTalk] Treats for Training
Hi list,
Nuts.especially pecans.just the meats..no salt or spices. Our pacas saw me
eating them and wanted to taste. I reasoned that they were probably safe,
as they are a naturally occurring "fruit" in the environment. The biggest,
most aggressive girl started wanting them and then her herdmates caught on.
Now, after 2 years, they each come when called to their own name, just to
get "their" nut. They also like fresh fruits, oranges and their rinds,
apples, melons, and the rind, pumpkin, especially the pie making sorts, rind
and all, in small bits cut up, and grapes, peaches, pears, all fruits.
Merry Christmas,
Allison, where it is raining a lot this cold work morning!
