Re: [AlpacaTalk] group ownership
Hi Margie,
To me it makes no difference, the current moderation is very oppressive
and anyone asking too many questions is quickly silenced there. I do
find Ana's information enlightening, and she says she was told
firsthand about the transfer of ownership.
Honestly, moderating a discussion group isn't much work. I believe the
way I handle things makes even less work. I let the members decide what
they want to talk about, and I don't tell anyone what so say, how to
say things, or what to think. All I ask is that there be no flaming.
One member feels my speech here was inflammatory. I don't agree. A few
members, including myself, feel we have been accused of some pretty
unkind name calling, and neither of us feel we have done that. But
important questions are being asked, and we are tweezing some answers
out.
I'm sorry, but the current state of AOBA is very important to many of
us, and it's important to many more who don't seem to think they're
affected by whatever happens in Nashville. There are just so many
questions, and the few who hold the answers do not want us to know. And
why not? What is really going on?
I think John makes some very good points. Maybe our Gold and Platinum
membership levels could be decided by a percentage of our gross yearly
income, you know, the first line on the 1040 form. Then maybe we'd have
some real income into AOBA by those multi-millionaires, and those with
smaller gross incomes can have a bit of a chance at those benefits.
Just an idea.
