Just letting you guys know that the ear is back up and all seems well.
While I was reading about ear ticks, panicking, and debating what to do
and searching for some Catrol IV I kept putting the boric acid powder in
1-2x day for a total of only 5 applications over 3 days and voila, his
ear is back up. Been up for the past 2 days.
Whew.
