[AlpacaTalk] RE: ear trouble

are too deep in the ear.I recommend you do some research on line about

ticks.I have to friends that have lost alpacas this year to these ticks.The
female seems to be the poison one.I would check it out and see if the
symptoms
are what your alpaca is having.I found lots of info on line.Good

Well that's scary! Tick was also my first thought, but then I didn't
see or feel anything. We really shouldn't have any ticks, that is after
all the reason I keep all these guineas around, but this year for the
first time in 10 yrs of having guineas around I am finding the occ tick
on dogs and humans. Plus the guineas no longer stay in the pasture,
they fly right out first thing in the AM and roam the yard and horse
pasture, but not the alpaca pastures :-(.
So liquid Ivermec will kill them?
What proportion are you mixing it with the mineral oil?
The point of the mineral oil being to coat them?
