Pros and cons on it ---like anything else!! Used to do total protien counts--but now just do the IGG.I try to do as much as I can to make sure my babies get off to a good start.Just what my vet and I are comfortable with. T

We don't do IGG's at all. It was proven that horse foals with low IGG's did just as well as the ones with high IGG's later in life. I would only use it if a cria is in jeopardy and even then I would use other blood tests first.
