Re: [AlpacaTalk] DE
It's not personal, I was only making an observation. And, most vacs don't really get out grit and dirt from carpets. I have a Rainbow, they really work, but even they take more than one vacuuming to get out really old soil (like, what's been left in your carpets since it was installed). Even Dysons don't work as well as a Rainbow.
Seriously, no offense intended.
Also, my post regarding the DE was at 2:53 PST. Your post wasn't up yet.

As I said in another reply: I did NOT leave it in the carpet. Only for just over two weeks... which was a bit longer that directions. One only has to read what the package says. And, I vacuumed the carpets more than once, actually in both directions.Jim GuerinJimmini FarmYelm, WA----- Original Message -----From: Heather ZelenySent: Tuesday, March 02, 2010 2:53 PMSubject: Re: [AlpacaTalk] DEAlso, I would think that DE is awfully abrasive to be putting into your carpet. Sandy grit is one thing and awfully destructive to carpet, but DE is more like little microscopic knives. They can really destroy carpeting fibers! I'd be very cautious about doing this unless I was prepared to replace the carpet sooner than normal.
