The thing that struck me with the call for auction items is who
benefits? If I read the website correctly the for profit subsidiary
conducts and probably benefits from auctions, Farm and Ranch Guide,
Alpacas Magazine, all communications, catalogs and who knows what
else. AOBA had to spin this subsidiary off because they made way too
much money to be a non profit. If they have all of that money, and
they exist to benefit members, then why are we constantly being asked
to give more and more and we get basically nothing in return?
Beats me...
