Re: [AlpacaTalk] Re: AOBA Shennanigans/subsidiary
Heather,
Ah, yet another accusation to make people upset. The nasties just keep
coming. So, okay.... I'd like to know....what is the Board hiding and what
trouble have they gone through to hide it? Please give me some examples.
It's important that we hear the details.
Hmmmm.... If you are talking about the subsidiary that isn't final
yet...they put the subsidiary process in the Minutes and I believe Amy said
they discussed it at the conference and at the affiliate meeting(s). I'd
have to go back and read Amy's posts to be certain about the conference
reference. But...are these the actions of someone intentionally hiding
something? Amy apologized publically that they hadn't sent the letter to
the entire memberhip yet (they have now done so) but if they were hiding
it, why did they put it in the Minutes? Why did they tell so many people
about it? Sure, Amy said they made a mistake by not telling the entire
membership about the process. She's human...what do you want...blood?
Isn't an apology and the letter to the full membership rectifying it
enough? What IS enough? Will anything ever be enough for you? Obviously
they weren't working very hard at hiding it. So....THAT can't be what they
are hiding from us? What are you talking about? Specifics, please.....!
Oh yes, a second accusation..
that the same elected Board will be responsible for the subsidiary. Why do
you think that this Board will set it up so that funds can be diverted and
payments made to them? Have funds been diverted before by this Board?
Have they tried to divert funds? What have any of these good people done
that would lead you to publically say something like that before you find
out the facts? Why are you making things up? To upset people? Have you
talked with a Board member about this to see if it's the plan?
Wow, obviously evasive answers to a simple question based on something YOU
said. So... you're not going to back up your own statement? Why? Because
you don't know why I want to know it? These were public mailings, didn't
you say...so no one has anything to hide, right? Obviously, Benefactors
want their name out there or they wouldn't have sent the e-mail. Actually,
the fact that they sent e-mails was one of YOUR big issues, not mine,
remember? Now...because you don't know how I'm going to use the
information, you don't want to answer the question when anyone who saved 2
months of e-mails could easily look it up... based on what you said? Sure
am glad you aren't on the Board. A simple question asking you to prove a
statement YOU MADE publically when you corrected someone else and you start
dancing around wondering why I'm asking about it and refusing to answer it.
Heather, just imagine how the Board (or committees or anyone else) feels
when you come at them with questions in the form of accusations and
sarcasm? Imagine how they would feel reading your e-mail below? But then,
I guess you don't ask them questions directly, do you? You just accuse
them of all sorts of things without proof. You make all kinds of
assumptions. Accuse them of things they haven't had a chance to even do
yet. Can't you imagine how they feel when confronted with antagonistic
questions or comments from someone who refers to them the way you do and
says the things you say about them?
My agenda? Yeah, I have one. It should be obvious. After all these years
in the industry, I'm so darn tired of a few people who make accusations
without proof. Who make statements without facts. Who hurt honest, good,
hard working people because they CAN. Enough is enough!!

Well, Libby, I am also thankful that I am not on the board of an
organization that sees fit to go through so much to hide what they're
doing from their membership, and so far to create a for-profit
organisation that does not have to answer to AOBA BOD, who will be
perfectly free to divert important funds from AOBA and pay its
directors generous salaries.
But seriously, you think that I am the only person that these so very
generous benefactors are sending emails to? Do they really think I am
the only person who will buy their animals for sale or their herdsire
services? These benefactor farms must think I have a lot more
disposable income than I do, and they must certainly think I have a lot
of influence in this industry if I am the only person receiving these
emails! Wow!
Do you see fit to disclose the names of people to me who have sent
emails to you in the last 2 months? You're apparently not on the AOBA
board, so I would like to know why the list of people who send emails
to is so important to you? My inbox is private, just as is my USPS
mailbox. All of my correspondences from the Show Division, for example,
have confidentiality notice included.
I'd like to know why it is so important to you that I disclose the
names of those benefactors. Are they not supposed to use the membership
directory in this manner? Are you doing market research? What business
is it of yours who sends me emails?
