have emailed your complaint to the shearer, for they need to know what
they have done wrong. I suppose it is too late to stop payment on the
check, but I would attempt that right away and then if you are able to
accomplish that, rewrite a check for the corrected amount.

In retrospect, the check should have been written after vet bills,
fecals etc were done, or perhaps 2 checks, one for shearing, and one later
when the fecals were reported. Sometimes we have bad experiences, and we
are angriest when we know we should have taken a different course, in this
case, you probably shouldn't have had her back a second time. But your
intentions were good and you have learned a lesson, and a stressful and
expensive one at that. Hind sight is always 20 : 20 isn't it!>>>>

Indeed it is! Gotta love hindsight. How naively trusting of me to
write her such a large check including amts for services not yet
received. My only defense is low blood sugar, stress, fatigue, cranky
and hungry children, and shock at the huge amount. Funny thing is
when I first contacted her about being overcharged it had never occurred
to me to stop payment on the check. I stupidly believed that once I had
pointed out to her the errors she would send me a refund hahahaROFLOL.
She even angrily responded that she was waiting for my check to clear
before she did the fecals. *She* immediately feared I would stop
payment on the check, yet that had not even crossed my mind to do.
Stupid stupid stupid.

Indeed, my bad experience and lack of resolution will be shared. Funny
thing is I could forgive all......I know people make mistakes, I know
people have bad days. As I have already said, I make a lot of
allowances for people. But when that person is unwilling to play nice,
is clearly unethical and more interested in $$$$ than their reputation
or satisfying their customer then the gloves come off.
