Emma - same thing happened to my dog.  I worked in vet hospitals and have done rounds with several large animal vets and have seen many of these injuries but never in an alpaca.  If she can still walk around, my advice is to give her a painkiller for a month or two and make sure you give her glucosamine at approx. 2000 mgs per day for an adult and just give her some time.  It can take up to six months to heal but you should notice improvement within a month or two.  A lot of times that's all these things require.
