Re: [SPAM]RE: [SPAM][AlpacaTalk] What's new?

Laura, I am glad your coat arrived before our latest snow storm. We rarely get 12 inches of snow a season, but we have been getting a walloping this year. The schools have been closed since last Friday and I doubt we will go at all this week. We are in the middle of another storm which has dropped another 8 inches on top of the 24 inches we had over the weekend - enough to cover all the paths we've dug to get to the alpacas. Keeping the gates clear and a path to get to the alpacas is an all day chore. I have a whole new appreciation for our neighbors to the north. I am counting on this year being a fluke and hoping it will be another 50 years before these type of snow totals are seen again. The alpacas are taking it in stride though. They stay inside during the snow storms and come out between storms for some sunshine, but they don't go far since the snow is up to their chest and bellies.
