Thanks, everyone, that helps so much!  Where do you all get your fresh/frozen colostrum?  We do have the powdered bovine colostrum on hand - I figure it can't hurt and the one preemie cria I nursed with it loved it and did well.  
 
As far as IgG goes, there was a study done several years ago on horses which showed that low IgG foals did just as well as high IgG foals.  So I don't even test for IgG - I might think about it if I had a very, very sick cria but other than that, it has shown to be a waste of time and money.
