Re: [AlpacaTalk] Re: Acero Marka
If I'm not mistaken, Andy and Cheryl Tillman should be able to tell you about Acero Marka imports. Whether or not they actually came from the Hacienda, is up for grabs, but they would probably know more than just about anyone.

My understanding is that Acero Marka is both the name of a specific herdsire and an alpaca ranch in Bolivia named "Hacienda Acero Marka" that is known for producing alpacas with very fine fiber. However, as far as I have been able to tell, there are no records available for anyone to tell if their full-Bolivian alpaca came from the Hacienda Acero Marka ranch or not.
I just did a search on AlpacaNation for full-Bolivian gray females, and found only 10, and only 5 are rose-gray. One of them is my Bolivian Christina. She's very hardy; still going strong at age 14, pregnant and due in February.
