Re: [AlpacaTalk] What are you feeding?

We feed our females free-choice (males twice a day) alfalfa-bermuda grass hay that is really nice and they do very well on it.  They were wasting too much of the orchard-timothy hay to make it worth feeding.  Anyone else try feeding this? 

 

We also feed our females Llama pellets once a day (much cheaper than the Mazuri alpaca ones and about the same) and Golden Blend minerals mixed in with the pellets (about 2 cups a day per female).  Our males get pellets only as a treat but do get the minerals.
