Re: [AlpacaTalk] Dogs? Coyotes? killed my only 3 females alpacas left, help with any information
Thnak You Heather for your kind words. I think I have already given up. I don't see a way to buy more females. Thank you again and God Bless.

And also, I apologise for the "to the point-ness" of my last post.
I am so very very sorry for your loss. We've had alpacas for 11 years
now and have lost our share. Thank god we've never had a dog or
coyote attack, but any death in the herd is so painful. I love every
one of ours and it breaks my heart if anything happens to them. You
have everyone's group hugs, here.
Please don't give up. Do check your fences and gates. You may need to
re-do the fencing. 6 foot no-climb horse fencing is preferred, or
diamond mesh, which I prefer. We have 5 foot no climb, and when I
hear the coyotes across the valley, I get nervous. And if you have
panel gates, you can attach chain link or fence wire to it so that no
one can get through. Heck, even chicken wire is a barrier!
I hope others will chime in.
Hugs,
Heather
