Re: [AlpacaTalk] CD&T and Ivomec shots
Susan,
I hate to give multiple VACCINES on the same day, but Ivomec is not a
vaccine - it is a wormer and does not create an auto-immune reaction. So in
answer to your question - yes you can give CD & T and Ivomec on the same
day. However, I would not give West Niles,
CD & T, and/or Rabies on the same day. It is just too much for the body
to handle. I have seen autoimmune reactions in dogs from too many vaccines
and it just isn't wise or worth loading them up with everything all at once.
My kids are teenagers now and I wanted their vaccines spread out and the
nurses/doctors thought I was nuts, however, I understand the vaccine
protocols in young children has changed to spread the vaccinations out.
