We are aware of a farm that lost two alpacas that slipped on a hill and
died when they became entangled in an electrified high-tensile fence.
That having been said, we have had no incidents with our 7 strand
high-tensile fence, 4 strands of which are electrified. It bears
mentioning that the fence must be kept taut.
