Re: [AlpacaTalk] Re: Old Boys Club
Ah, Michael,
I have made my opinions on various topics known to AOBA. I rarely
receive an acknowledgment of my concerns.
Hm, yes, let's not give "Ideal Alpacas" any free advertising, at least
not on this group. I have major concerns, not so much with a marketing
program, but with the fact that the same person who owns that program,
and a very highly marketed string of sires, is also in charge of the
show judging. That looks like an major conflict of interest to me. And
to a lot of other people.
Michael, this forum is first and foremost about free speech. I will not
tolerate attempts at suppression of free speech, mine, or anyone
else's. I speak out about things I feel are wrong. Many times, people
heard about it first from me or others on this group.
To get change, people need to know what's wrong. One person, I'm sure
you'll agree, has very little power to change anything. I have people
emailing and calling privately all the time thanking me for my posts on
controversial matters. Sometimes they didn't even know, because
oftentimes they heard it here first. Oftentimes, things are done in a
very quiet manner until it's already done it's too late to do anything
about it, like ALC. And taking away our complimentary Alpacas Magazine
as a benefit of membership. And the other subtle changes to the
membership structure over the years.
This forum here is the Hyde Park Speakers Corner of the alpaca
industry. Please read the group description again. I do not tolerate
censorship of ideas or opinions by anyone. If that's what you're after,
feel free to join other "Stepford" alpaca groups.
