[AlpacaTalk] Alpaca Industry

To change the topic a bit. I have a question. We know that we have
three alpaca judging avenues in the US, maybe more, for all I know. We
have the AOBA show division, we have ALSA, and we have the IAJS, which
is what the IAC is judged under, for example. IAC is out of many
people's access, due its usual location in lovely Del Mar, Ca. I'm not
sure what the fees for that show run. I recall at least one other show
that uses the IAJS, and its fees were very low, compared to AOBA shows.
Does anyone know what show that is, who puts it on, and their contact
info?

Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Triple Crown is an ALSA show. Is the
Buckeye also ALSA? I thought so but I may well be wrong. It's happened
once before. ;>

I wonder if we really need AOBA at all. Personally, I never see AOBA
commercials, or ILA commercials, either, for that matter. I believe we
need separate associations for judging, marketing, breed standards (if
we choose to pursue that), etc. One organisation should not have
control over all aspects of our industry.

Comments? Suggestions? Ideas? Please, post!
