RE: [AlpacaTalk] centrifuge question
Since nobody has replied to your question, I thought I would chip in.
While variable speed may come in handy for other things, you will need one
that spins at 1,500 RPM. 1,800 RPM will do, if you can't find the first
choice.
You will want to be able to spin at least two tubes. Ours can spin eight,
but we've never spun more than two. That's because we are doing other
things (preparing tubes and reading slides) while spinning is taking place.
More tubes spinning doesn't achieve anything for us.
Whether the tubes "swing" or are "fixed", is a matter of choice and that
choice may depend on your method of preparing slides. You will want to be
able to spin 15ml tubes, 10ml at an absolute minimum.
I'm giving you a quick answer. No doubt, you may now have questions about
how to prepare slides (McMaster's vs. cover slips). But, since you didn't
ask, I won't go there for the time being.

Subject: [AlpacaTalk] centrifuge question
I am looking to purchase a centrifuge to do my own alapca fecals. With
so many brands and types out there, can anyone tell me what specific
functions/capabilit
that is best? Any information would be appreciated.
