For those of you with AOL, there is an ad today on the AOL shopping
saying:

"Some Cashmere is All She Wants" I like my clothes to be soft (and
expensive). It links to Macys site.

As I see this, I'm wondering - why not alpaca? What is the mechanism
to get alpaca clothing into a department store like Macys? AOBA has
ads on cable about the joys of alpaca farming, but who goes out and
touts the wonders of alpaca clothing to manufacturers? Why is it that
everyone knows cashmere, but much fewer know about alpaca?

I have heard the stories about Arnold Palmer. But that was 50 years
ago. What does Tiger Woods wear? Wouldn't it be nice to see an alpaca
sweater on Paris Hilton or the Britt? Not the best role models for
young girls, but they are fashion slaves :)
