[AlpacaTalk] New here

Hello.

I am fairly new here. Been reading all the posts but dont think that
i have actually posted yet.

However, I have to agree with being able to have a cria to raise
ourselves. We bought our two girls and one boy and the girls are
very skittish to be touched by us, but we are working on it. The boy
is a little better, as he is very curious.

I had my vet come out after our purchase to be able to have a look
at them to make me feel better about them and he also mentioned that
they had not gotten the attention that they needed to be able to
learn to be touched and handled and this is why we want to have our
own cria to teach this too and not be afraid to be touched.

As it is it will take alot of work with these animals before they
can even begin to be any kind of show animals for this reason.

Anyway since i am new here i also have a question. Can anyone tell
me how do you made a decision about what you would sell your alpacas
for. I just dont know where to start to figure the price of the
alpacas out. Is there a book maybe out there that could help.

I have gotten several books that I am reading but have not found
anything like that.

I sure enjoy this site. Thanks for all the information
