With all due respect, Jan (and you know that I have a lot of respect
for you), at what point does the past become the past. At what point
does the alpaca community allow indiscretions to be laid to rest?
Does it take 3 years? Does it take a decade? Longer?
Do we need someone like Ken to continue to bring up the diversion of
AOBA sales leads by the then AOBA President that took place back in
the early 90's? That, as the events Ken refers to, was also reported
in Llama Life II, and that individual is a now senior judge.
Has enough time passed that his indiscretions are now forgiven/
forgotten?
I have seen both he and Reed judge shows. Both know their animals
well, and both judged fairly.
And where is it that the list of enrollees for judges training is
public information?
Does it not seem like some individuals are privvy to information long
before the rest of the alpaca community is? Does that imply some lack
of discretion on the part of one or more of our current leaders? Is
that enough of a concern that petitions should be circulated?
The politics of alpaca land, including the continual attempts to
destroy certain players (such as Hoffman, Reed, Stachowski, the
Romaniks, etc.) is repugnant to many. It reflects human nature at its
worst, wouldn't you agree?
