Re: [AlpacaTalk] alpaca sheering

Maria,

I can check with our Shearer.  He is shearing my friend's alpacas on April 21 and ours on April 22.  Is there any way you can transport them?  If so, you can bring them to us and he'll do them, but if not, tell me where you live and I'll ask him if he wants to squeeze you in.  I know he did a few pet alpacas last year up in Fauquier or Loudoun...can't remember.  He will charge a set up fee and a per alpaca fee if he comes to you, but if you can bring them to us, no set up fee for you.  Let me know what you think.

Adam is known as Mr. Clipper and he is very good.  He has a shearing team and they are efficient and know what they are doing.  He travels up the East coast and even has one team travel to Europe.

Adopted our 2 alpacas 2 months ago. Called the gentleman who has done thier sheering in the past and he no longer does it. Anyone know a sheerer who will come to northern VA? It turns out most breeders will only help if you bought your alpacas through them. sigh.............
