Re: [AlpacaTalk] alpaca sheering
Maria,
Thankfully, you have this site to refer to. When I got started, the help was not so abundant as it is today. You will get the advice you need by some very educated folks as you've probably figured out at this point. It's a shame and an embarrassment to the alpaca community that you had this experience. I'll email you info of a shearer we've used in the past who's very good.

This attitude really sucks in our fellow breeders. Information costs NOTHING. It costs no one to pass on a quick amount of info or where to find help for a sick alpaca/ situation. It is the animal that is being hurt, not the client that did not buy. I always tell newbies that whether they buy from me or not, that I will help if they need it. Since I have a sleep disorder, I add 24/7 to that comment. Now you can call that being a sucker if you want to.....but it has probably ensured more good will for me than I know about.
