Re: [AlpacaTalk] RE: Fiber trade for product

It would not be cost effective or profitable for someone to take your raw fleece in return for roving/yarn.It costs to take the fiber to the next stages of processing. So the value just does not come out equal.I am sorry about your medical problems back issues are no fun--I hope you heal fast.Good luck.Possibly you can find a Guild that would be interested in buying all the fleece to split between the entire group. Maybe some others on this thread can come up with some other ideas!!!  Always,T

Subject: [AlpacaTalk] RE: Fiber trade for product

<<< Hi all,
Anyone interested in trading some raw fiber for finished product? I have
a garage full of it, and since my 'simple back surgery' turned into a
life altering experience we are trying to get out of the business end of
the industry and just keep a few of our favorite pacas just for
pleasure. That means cleaning out the garage of all of our fleece. It is
raw, unskirted and not picked. All colors, lots of fawn and white and of
varying fineness.
I have first and seconds and would love to trade straight across for
finished product or rovings.
Thanks!
Email me if anyone is interested.
Rachelle>>>

I am so sorry to hear this Rachelle :-(.
My sympathies.
