Laura, if the cria is active and nursing and acting normal I'd leave well enough alone. Does cria seem to be satisfied when finished nursing? If you supplement the cria won't be stimulating mom's milk.
I am not jumping in to supplement cria with bottles…….I really hope to avoid it, but will if it becomes necessary.
It's not too late to start giving mom lactation herbs. Contact Dr. Pollard in the morning and see if they'll overnight you a small bag to get you started. I think this is our best bet and will do so.
I understand why you're weighing the cria. But it's very important to do it at the same time every day. I promise you that a full tummy or a just emptied bladder can make a huge difference on the scales. I am attempting to weigh her at the same time, daily. I know there can be a huge difference depending on her nursing schedule and elimination of bowels or urine.
I try not to mess with Mother Nature too much. I've had crias that gained 1+ pounds per day for a week. I've had others that lost, maintained, and/or didn't gain weight for several days. I carefully watch the individual and unless that individual is showing me reason to intervene I leave well enough alone. An active, nursing cria is probably fine.
I agree and want as much , "all natural" as possible. There seems to be a fine line between letting nature takes it's course and missing crucial clues to something amiss. I am trying to balance and not be overly involved, nor negligent. Of course, if you as five people you get five answers and opinions. I am trying to absorb as much as I can without going overboard.
I appreciate the information and advice. Thank you.

She got two injections but am unsure what they were. One was antibiotic, I think. The othr may have been vitamin ……… I am weighing her cria daily to make sure she isn't going downhill. If we don't see a gain by today we will take whatever action is necessary. Cria is active and nursing but I have been unable to tell how much she is getting. I keep hoping for a milky face/lips after nursing. Baby got an A,D.E vitamin shot, I think.
Mom is getting all the hay –orchard grass and alfalfa – that she can eat……no herb supplements but I intend to have them on hand for future births.

Did your vet give you anything to help moms milk come in?? There are drugs that you use in the first 12 hours on mom then after that you can get Dom Perodome to give mom everyday to stimulate the milk.If you know a female is not a good milker you can use
herbs for a few weeks before due date and while nursing.Offer the cria a bottle if she refuses it you can figure she is not hungry. If she keeps loosing I would take action soon. I remember an article in Alpaca Magazine way back when "the cria that nursed it's self to death." Basically the mom did not have enough milk and the owners just assumed she had enough milk and it died. Always,T
