Yes it is true we used diapers!!! It worked out great!!! I have a couple farms that bought from me and they used the diapers on thiers too.One of them had heat stroke and had to be kept in during heat of the day one Summer so I went and got diapers for them and they used them with great success!!!

So sad that mama died when the baby was 6 weeks old, though. Poor babies.

While using the diapers we used Desitine on the little butt to make sure no irration started. Alpacas seem to love TV.They ussually will cush on the rug between the couch and coffee table and watch whatever was on.On nice days he went out in the pasture with the other cria and moms.His mom died at six weeks and his sister took to looking after him when he was out in the field very sweet. My bottle baby always had good poop, even while she was on the replacer. I know this for a FACT, she lived in my house at night, and when she went to her stall, in the house, she would poop and pee. As many of you know, diarrhea is a major cause of dehydration and weight loss. After I started on the cow's milk, instantly, good poop and she's never had scours since.
